Tibrizi's incorporates medeterranean flavors in local favorites
For Valentines Day, my wife and I went to Tabrizi's in Harbor Point. Parking was free in their gated lot though it took a few minutes to figure out where to go. We were seated immediately even though we were 15 minutes early for our reservation. Just like every other restaurant we go to we were seated at a table in a high traffic area. Though I will say we were quickly offered another table there were no others that had the good view of the harbor that Tabrizi's is known for.
The lobster chowder we had was amazing! It was so good I almost asked for another bowl. There was large pieces of lobster claw meat in the chowder and it was thick, full of flavor, and served at just the right temperature. Our appetizers of scallops and crab cakes were displayed in a manner that made our plates look too good to eat. The deep-fried grape leaves that garnished my scallop were like nothing I had had before. Our entrees of Maryland rockfish and veal were just as good as our soup and appetizers. The entire evening was fantastic. The paired wines were suitably selected and the whole bill was right around $175 including gratuity. For a Valentines dinner in the Inner Harbor the only thing we could have asked for was valet parking. The cold walk to and from the restaurant left us shivering. |
